5 of the most helpful Web Browser Extensions

All of us have been using Web Browsers for a long time. Even Though most of the essential features are built-in by default, some are not. This is Where Extensions Come into action. Extensions as the name suggest add more features or just enhance the existing ones. In this blog, I show you 5 of the most helpful Web Browser Extensions. Do note that most of these extensions will be available for All major Browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Chromium Based Web Browsers).
1. Momentum Dash

The New Tab pages in most Web Browsers are bland and full of clutter. Momentum Dash Makes the new tab page much cleaner and minimalist. The Momentum New Tab has a Background Image that changes every day. In the centre of the screen is the Current time. Below That is a greeting and a Search Bar. You can also set up the Page to show Inspirational Quotes at the bottom. Overall, This Extension is a great one if you want a refreshed New Tab Page. The Extension is available for All major web browsers.
2. Dark Reader

The Dark reader extension allows you to switch between Light and Dark Modes on a webpage. This also includes websites which do not support dark mode. This can be very useful if you read and consume content at night. This extension also works on most web browsers. You can also configure when the Mode changes from light to dark. Do note that If you want to use it on safari, You will have to pay for it as it is not free.
3. AdBlock

We all hate ads and popups. This is where the AdBlock Extension Comes into action. Do note that this extension has different names depending on the Browser. AdBlock can also be classified as a type of extension as there are a lot of them and all of them perform the same function. This type of extension is mainly useful for blocking ads on riddled websites and stopping pre-roll ads on YouTube.
4. Save To Pocket

Pocket is a Service developed by Mozilla, The Creators of firefox. This extension allows you to save websites to a ‘Read Later’ list. Pocket also provides useful information and news.
5. DuckDuckGo

DuckDuckGo is also known as DDG and is a web extension/start page which aims to protect your privacy. Even though DDG can be used by going to their website, The extension allows you to change many settings such as IP protection and Security Filter levels. It also has a lot of search results which means you will not notice any difference from Google or Bing.
How to install
Installing An extension is different in all browsers. In Safari, You will have to use the Mac App Store. For Chrome, Edge and all other Chromium Browsers, You have to use the Chrome Webstore. In Firefox, you will have to use the Mozilla Addons page.
